Reviewed by: johntravolta, Snowboarder

Price Paid: $49.00

Summary:
This place is the antithesis of McSkiing and I love it because of that. IF they built a half decent terrain park and upgraded the snowmaking a little bit I wouldn't ski anywhere else in NH and would never think about driving the extra 45 minutes to sunday river(one of the most over-hyped resorts in the east). The mountain layout is pretty much perfect and the quad is one of the fastest most convient lifts at any resort I've ever been to. The mtn overall is much steeper than average with basically no flats. The only bad part about the terrain here is although most runs are steeper than average, there is no super-steep terrain, but on the east coast terrain like that is only rideable on the best of conditions days. Crowds basically non existent except for days when it really dumps.

Customer Service:
clean, well lit base lodge. Superfriendly staff which will always work to get you the cheapest ticket they can offer you that day. None of the apres ski or yuppie bullcrap and I hope it always stays that way. Thank god for no slopeside condos, no sushi, no massages and easily the bes t scenery in the east. I've skied all over VT, NH, ME and UT and wildcat is still my overall favorite mountain.

Summary:
Definitely my favorite mountain (though I've only skied in the east.) When I go to a resort I want to ski, and that's about it. Not into that apre-ski crap. I also don't really enjoy huge mountains (as in alot of peaks)

Summary:
The blacks are fun, especially the natural hits on Wildcat trail (and, I'm not a jibber). My favorite runs were Wildcat (because of the hits), and the glade area to the skier's right of the HS chair. We skied on a Sunday and had no lines, plus the empty lodge had good pizza. Wildcat is a fun place to ski, but don't expect to be overly challenged if you're a good skier. I'd say that, of the NE areas I've skied (Killington, Sugarbush, SR, partially opened SLoaf, Cannon), Wildcat had the least challenge, but was still a fun place to spend a day skiing.

Reviewed by: PatCat, Advanced, from Georgetown Mass

Summary:
Wildcat is a raw-boned mountain with plenty of varied terrain. It can be cold, so no pussies here!!! You see a lot of athletic skiers on the mountain. Grooming is generally B+....can be icy because of weather extremes..cold and wind. Very good uphill lift capacity. Newly refurbed base lodge. A terrific skiing experience if you love the natural world, dont mind weather and like to be challenged by 80% of the mountain. It is really the only place to ski in New Hampshire if this is your bag. Enjoy!!!
