Summary:
Hadn't skied at Stowe for probably 15 years (moved away after college). I remember taking one of the most spectacular falls of my life down the face of Upper National and wanted to see if time, better equipment, and -hopefully- better skiing skills would improve things. It was awesome to go back. Many of the trails seem more groomed now, but the character of the place remains unchanged. This is a mountain for people who love to ski, and love to be challenged. Most of the people on the mountain are serious, courteous, capable skiiers/riders. There are plenty of family-oriented cruisers there too, but you can get those most anywhere. The snow was perfect; maybe a little scuffed off and icy by early afternoon, but that's New England. All in all, it was great!

Customer Service:
Excellent. Had some great on-lift conversations with "ski ambassadors" or whatever they're called. I guess they just ski around and answer questions and make sure everything's cool...very nice people.

Summary:
Me and my family went to Stowe last Christmas. Vermont got a lot of snow early in the season so the coverage was amazing and the resort was almost completely open. I never had to wait more than 10 min. in a liftline, which was good because it was bitter cold. I was really impressed by the variety of the terrain at Stowe. The terrain was as challenging was you wanted it to be, and suited everyone in my family from beginner to advanced. One of the big surprises of the trip was the upper part of Spruce Peak. It was ungroomed and empty and one of my favorite parts of Stowe. I would definitely recommend that all skiers should get over to Spruce Peak and sample its empty slopes. In a few hours of skiing there, the only people I saw were the people on the lifts with me, which was good because the few day old snow was still fresh. Stowe is the Best eastern resort I have been to because of the variety and challenge of the skiing, the beauty of Mt Mansfield and the charm of the town of Stowe

Summary:
I went to Stowe in February of 2001. It snowed all three days that we were there. Had a great, great time.

We decided to go over to Spruce Peak one morning, and it was fantastic! Sterling is a winding intermediate run, and we laid the first tracks on it that day in about 3" of fresh, fluffy snow. The trail winds down through the woods - just beautiful. What a great way to start the day! As my friend said to me as we started down that morning, "Heh, heh, heh, this is the cat's ass!"

Take advantage of the option to go over to Smuggler's Notch. It requires a bit of poling across a pond, but it makes Stowe feel a lot bigger. Be aware though, that Smuggler's is over on the northern side of the mountain, and its a lot colder (and icier) over there. It was crowded - with lots of high school kids the day were there for some reason, but it offered some really nice runs.

Summary:
All right where do I start. It is $60.00 to get on the lifts. It is waspy all over the place. The Mountain has more double black runs than any mountain I have been to. BUT! Noone rides those double black moguls!!! Everyone rides three or four runs and they get icy pretty quick. And after snowboarders scraped all the snow off the mountain what you have left is: a lot of ice for 60 bucks.

Summary:
The Mecca of the east! Where do I start? Well, how about snow, snow and more snow! Stowe offers some of the best snow found in the northeast along with some diverse and chalenging terrain. Lift lines are always shorter than places south like Killington and the town is steretypical Vermont. It offers the beauty and hospitality unmatched by any other mountains in the greater vicinity.
