| | Reviewed by: ahyde, Skier Price Paid: $49.00 Summary: Yesterday, we were down at Powder Mountain for our last day of skiing. We had big anticipations of riding the cat to get up to some higher, un-touched terrain. In the morning the conditions were very hard, crusty, due to spring temps and it's been a while since it snowed. We waited for the temps to rise and the snow to become soft before riding the cat. Since it was our first time to Powder Mountain, we asked for directions to find the cat, but we had to ask 3 chair attendants where the cat was, no one seemed to know. When we did find the embarkation location, to our surprise, the cat was closed, 1.5 hours earlier than what we were told in the morning when we bought our tickets. We then tried to have our cat tickets reimbursed, initially with no success. The Manager (lady) at the ticket booth would absolutely not reimburse us, and she had a terrible attitude, definitely not customer focused. She even suggested we try to sell our tickets, as long as we didn’t sell them on Powder Mountain grounds. Gladly, when we went to see the ski school, they understood that we were leaving to go back to Canada the next day, and reimbursed the cat tickets, no questions asked. Thanks to the Ski School crew. Sadly, due to our misadventure with the resort staff (read Manager) we will not be back to Powder Mountain on our next trip, and will definitely not recommend it to our friends back home. (Yes we come to Utah every year for a week of skiing) Customer Service: Terrible Similar Products Used: Snowbird, Brisghton, Alta, ParkCity, The Canyons, Solitude

| | Reviewed by: peejayman, Snowboarder Price Paid: $560.00 Summary: Awesome resort. I own one of the few houses on the resort/lightning ridge and love the area. Terrain and powder are great, price is right and the resort is not crowded. New owners are making improvements and a new 5500 acre ski area is in the works (11000 acres total!) Customer Service: Good. People who work at the resort are there because they really are into and care about the mountain. None of the big touristy resort attitude = a good thing. Similar Products Used: Solitude, Brighton, telluride, steamboat, copper mt. Definetly not Vail = too much BS attitude. I have money but don't act like it or let my family act like it = too much of that a Vail, Deer Valley etc.

| | Reviewed by: 1whoknows, Advanced Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: A great mountain with an undeveloped, back country feel. Super friendly staff and locals that really want to make your trip the best it can be. Not that they will share their best kept secret stashes. Lot's of areas to explore, it takes a long time to get familiar with all Powder Mountain has to offer.

| | Reviewed by: dolemite, Advanced Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Ah Powder Mountain, the best little grass roots, no frills resort there is.
And the Snow is good, over 500" annually makes for plenty of Powder when most of the other resorts have long been tracked out.
This place seems to be left relatively intact, plenty of nice tree-runs and it adds a nice natural state feel to the place.
What I think is pretty original about this place is the Powder-Country backcountry option where you end up on the road leading up to the resort and picked up via their bus. Also the Cat-Skiing options are reasonably priced and are also a good option not found in many places.
Most of the people who work here were incredibly friendly which adds a real nice charm to the place.
