Summary: If you are a total first-timer, take a lesson. The combination of wet Aussie snow and the steep bottom on the main run could be disastrous for beginners. I saw some first-time skiers take some really bad falls towards the bottom. For the 5 star value rating keep in mind what I said about our timing on going to this resort - it may not be such a good deal if you are going during peak season.

Summary: Quality resort, my first southern hemisphere experience. Good terrain and snow, challenging areas, great places to eat and drink, and the best people in the world. Falls is in my heart.

Summary: If you are visting from overseas, be aware of Aust snow conditions (or sometimes lack of them). Having said that, Falls Creek can get dumped on like any other resort and can be a fantastic place to ride. I just wish it was closer to Sydney. It provides a different atmosphere and perspective to the other Aust resorts especially those interstate. Good for grouops of different abilities.

Summary: My friends and I always come here because it's close, the terrain's allright, a bit flat but that's all good. I wouldn't fly to Australia specifically for the snow - go to NZ!! Come to Australia for the sun and surf! (summer is from Sept-March). Best place in the World in Summer, and hey, if the snow season sucks, do what I do and trek up to Queensland and soak up the sun!
