Summary: Forget about it if you're thinking of going here before half way through July unless you like boarding on mud and slush. The snowmaking is good but confined to limited areas.

Summary: Beats Falls Creek, but not by a land slide. Still, I would choose Thredbo, good lodging and not having to clean my own room more than made up for any other short comings. The terrain is much prettier. The only drawback might be if you are going there from Melbourne, it is a longer drive than Hotham, Buller or Falls Creek. Still worth it IMHO.

Summary: Probably the best resort in Australia when the snow is good. Definitely the prettiest. When the snow is there it is probably the best riding for intermediate to advanced boarders.

Summary: Great season, which makes for a great resort. Not too keen on the moguls which pop up on nearly every run but good to see areas that are specifically set up for boarders (Merrits!!). Probably won't see an Australian season like this for quite some time so get up there people while the snows great and the weather's brilliant!
