| | Reviewed by: Q, DoubleDiamond, from Yo mama's town Summary: All I can say is DON'T RULE OUT LATE MARCH. I was there March 30, 2001 and the snow was unreal because nobody had been making reservations for the cat the previous week - meanwhile it had been snowing, and snowing, and... well, you get the point. It was just windy enough throughout the day that our tracks from the morning were filled in by the end of the day - and besides, once we dropped in off the ridges we were out of the wind anyway. It was sick. I'm going back for sure sometime in 01-02. Value? $160 per person for the day, and we ended up getting exactly 16 runs in (we had a fairly quick group). That comes down to 10 bucks a run (well worth it) plus your lunch is included in the price. Bring your fatties, you won't regret it. I'm only giving it 4 stars on the overall rating because I'm eagerly anticipating a heli trip next winter, and I can only imagine that the Monarch cat will seem pretty weak in comparison. Otherwise, it ranks among the top 3 days of skiing I've ever had. Go there.
