Reviewed by: Wade, Advanced

Price Paid: $1.00 at snowmobile shop

Summary:
Snow Cat skiing was issued a permit in 1994. There was a lot of concern by the local community that the best mountain in the area would be closed to snowmobilers and backcountry skiiers that wanted to use the area. Brundage agreed to keep the area multi-use, in order to get there permit. Now they complain constantly to the NFS that they should close the mountain to all other motorized users, including backcountry skiiers, that want to snowmobile to the top of the hill and snowboard down. There aren't many places as good as this to snowboard, so brundage is stealing it from the public for the use by a very few rich people. Some public lands!

Reviewed by: Todd , Double Diamond, from Boise, ID

Price Paid: $0.00

Summary:
This is a good deal. They have alot of terrain - 19,000 acres and it is extremely varied. Run 2 plush cats - have heat and tunes - bring you own tapes. Have skied here many times - guides work hard to find the best snow. Longest run is 2700 vertical - most around 1500. Some flat runouts - its not Alaska.
