I am only really learning to Ski but have friends in Fulpmes, in the tirol region. I do know though that the area has lots to offer all levels with the Stubai Glacier closeby and beginner slopes in the village. It is a real traditional Austrian village/town where the locals are friendly and genuine. You will not be surrounded by tourists but there is everything there for the guest visitor.
It is about a half hour drive from Innsbruck. The views are amazing in Fulpmes and the local bars and resaturants are good quality and varied. There is also a good range of ski-wear shops to choose from.
