Summary:
Huge area, with something for everyone. If you think any of the US resorts are large, try the Arlberg valley. From Lech and Zurs to St. Anton, one ticket covers more than you can ski in a week. The locals are friendly, but don't take any c**p from the Germans who think it's their right to push past you in line - a planted pole in the right place gets their attention.
The snow in mid-Feb. was perfect, as were the bright blue skies - if you want anything from cruisers to 'you fall-you die' terrain, it's available if you want to look.
Accomodation outside of the resort is outrageously cheap - room for two including breakfast and dinner, and a sauna was $70 - 10km from the base. You just have to be a little careful about where you end up at the end of the day - it could be 20 miles from your car!
Two weeks after Lech, I went to Sunshine / Lake Louise - no comparison skiing or snow condition wise, both resorts could fit into the Arlberg Valley many times, and the scenery was almost as good.
Highly recommended.

Summary:
Lech is as good as it gets. We will be back next year. We will hope for more snow too, but skiing corn snow in the sun in February is nice too.

Summary:
Said it all in the Strengths. This is the true sking experience. You see high fashion skiers with duct-tape skiers drinking a beer comparing notes. If your a true American and like your a-- wiped for you, you'll hate sking anywhere in Europe. But if your open minded and looking for a true sking experience, Lech (or anywhere else in Austria) is the place for you to go.

Summary:
Its amazing how people can have such a bad attitude whilst supposedly having fun. I have been to Tahoe, and there is just no comparison. Stay as far away from this place as you can.
