Summary:
Garmish-Partenkirchen is one of the top two resorts I have visited. It is a warm and welcoming place for Americans to absorb the locals and culture. Great Bier.

Summary:
A good family place to break into the European ski scene. A true Bavarian culteral experiance. A good place to base from to see southern Germany. A must for US service people. AFRC localed at Hausberg.

Summary:
Garmish was an extremely fun place to ride and play. The people are interesting, especially if you happen to make them fall off of the t-bar lift when you fall, but it is all fun. The snow is great late into the season, and the prices are really rather reasonable.

Summary:
I've had a great time most of the time, but you need to be on top of the weather. It will run up the mountains quickly.
Learn the German holidays and you will always enjoy yourself.
