| | Reviewed by: muddysocks, Intermediate Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Massive linked area with beautiful views and exceptional ski touring opportunities. On a clear day join a party to Lötschenlücke, you´ll have to climb for three hours but it feels like a real adventure, it´s leaving the unfit, unskilled crowds well below. I think ice axes are so exciting! One arranges this through the Bergsteigerzentrum. My favourite slopes are in Mürren.

| | Reviewed by: Justin Custer, Intermediate, from Ramstein, Germany Summary: If you haven't been snowboarding at Grindewald, you're missin out. Last year they had the skiing world cup there... it's gotta be good! They have some sweet bowls, and drop offs... you take a 5 foot jump, and end up 20 feet in the air because of the drops. nice landings too, it's really well groomed, but not for people's safety, it's groomed for fun. It's europe, it's all for fun, companies don't worry about people suing them.

| | Reviewed by: Tony Raven, DoubleDiamond, from Cambridge, UK Summary: The scenery for skiing has to be the best there is. Nothing very taxing to ski but fabulous skiing all the same swooping through the alpine meadows and between the huts with the Eiger always in the background. Pop over to the Schilthorn for probably the best run in the region.
Against is the walking that is invariably involved in the village and the variable snow especially towards the bottom where it can get rathen thin, icy and muddy.
