| | Reviewed by: Jasper , Double Diamond, from Netherlands Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: I've been to Samnaun in March 2002. We stayed in Samnaun-Laret. Samnaun-Dorf is small, but very nice with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. The other villages (Laret, Compatsch, Plan and Ravaisch are small and quiet. The skiing area is big (over 200 km of runs) and lifts are modern. The variety in the skiing area is not considerable. Snow conditions were very good. Some parts of the skiing area are overcrowded, especially the Austrian part (Ischgl). There is a big difference between the guests who stay in Ischgl (tumultuous party people, mainly from The Netherlands) and those who stay in Samnaun (mainly richer, quiet Swiss and Germans). Please note that Samnaun is not very easy to drive to, it takes much time.
