| | Reviewed by: Rich, Intermediate Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Excellent. I went at the end of January. It was empty during the best weekend in Switzerland during the 2003/2004 season so far- when all the other resorts were packed. The views from the top are amazing with loads of 4000+ metre peaks around Saas-tal. Lots of nice wide pistes but some challenging ones too and quite varied.
We stayed in Saas-grund which is smaller, cheaper and more backward but the skiing there is nearly as good as Saas-fee.

| | Reviewed by: zinnk, Advanced Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Saas-Fee is great. The village is small, no cars and uncrowded. Also, not too many fellow Americans -- which has kept out fast food chains and junk souvenir shops. Due to the altitude there is always snow in Saas-Fee. The sking is great -- but not for the faint of heart. Lot's of vertical slopes. Take it from someone who has visited Saas-Fee every christmas for the past 15 years --- it's a definite must if you are looking for a relaxing ski vacation...

| | Reviewed by: Jasper , Double Diamond, from Netherlands Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: I've been to Saas-Fee at Christmas 2001. The skiing area was a disappointment: small, not challenging and crowded. Some lifts are outdated. The height of the skiing area is considerable, so it can be very cold. The biginner slopes are very suitable for families. Mountains around Saas-Fee are so high, that the village is always in the shadow in December and January. The village itself looks much like a Disney resort; it is very cosy with lots of bars and restuarants. Cars are not allowed, you have to leave your car outside the village.
I recommend Saas-Fee to families and to those from whom a nice atmosphere is at least as important as skiing. But don't go there in December and January!

| | Reviewed by: Adrian Gleeson, Intermediate, from Frankfurt, Germany Summary: An interesting unique resort with plenty to offer. Although you can ski most anytime in the season, January to March are the best times to go. The lift quese are small and the pistes were not crowded. Definitely worth a visit
