Summary:
Verbier is an awesome place. Skied 3valleys, Tigne, Les Arcs, Chamonix and several resorts in Austria and Verbier was that much better. The views take your breath away. The resort has a very steep aspect like no other place. Either you look up at soaring peaks or you look down into deep valleys. 3valleys seems flat by comparison. A solid intermediate will be able to ski the full vertical. Any skier MUST go to the ski school as they are awesome and will have you skiing steeps by the end.

Summary:
Verbier is a nice little town 2 hours drive from geneva. The slopes were crowded but they are long and get loads of sun apparently many days/year.

Summary:
over rated, over crowded with flailing brits who think they are 'out of bounds' skiers not to mention drunken swedes who pour beeer all over each other in the pub mont fort. not bad skiing though lifts are way slow, way expensive and the pistes are ten times more crowded than at heavenly valley on texas college break

Reviewed by: Martin Rozario, Intermediate, from Manchester, England

Summary:
The only other resort I have been to is Saalbach in Austria, and that sucked coz of the distinct lack of snow in April. Verbier is HUGE. Mont Fort is really an experience at 3330m. I really felt my ability improve leaps and bounds here. IF you are good, and know so, then go for Mont Gele. It is no piste, just pure off-piste. Perhaps the only problem is the size. To do the 4 valleys takes time. It takes ages to get from Verbier to the other side of the 4 valleys ( I mean around 2-3 hours+ just using the lifts, then you have to get back before the last lift). It is, perhaps, geared more toward the better skier/boarder, as they will be able to make better use of it, but there are still 35 easy runs, so don't be put off to bring your granny :-) You may need to sell her to pay for another week that you will almost certainly want.....

Summary:
Although I ski many other resorts throughout the year, Verbier offers me everything. The endless road to extreme backcountry. The notorious bumps of Tortin are a must by any experienced skier. Grab a guide and trek off-piste. Go heli-skiing for the day and you will never look back. Great ski school for the kids and the piste skiing is not motorway, and yet caters for all standards. Great ski shops with end of season offers. Fantastic food and bars. Legendary nightclubs. Kicks Chamonix and La Grave. The off-piste Nivana.
