Summary: There is some awesome riding in Les Menuires, and you can get to it from anywhere in the valleys, so you can make a day of riding to get there, ride and get back, and there is much more untouched powder than in the rest of the region. The scenery is fantastic and I found that it was easy to get off piste without being really into the back-country too far, so that relieves you of the worst risks of being in the Alps away from the piste, and still able to enjoy all the pow and drops etc...
I would say, if you are going to the three valleys anywhere, make it a day and get over to Les Menuires....well worth the effort. Far less crowded and some awesome runs. Get there early though as the sun shines more on that side of the mountain and the snow on the lower slopes can get slushy in the afternoons, wheras in the morning, you can get freshies for hours even on some of the pistes.....
