Summary: I loved Livigno. Purely on skiing, I would rate Livigno as good but when you add in the good food, fun night life, lovely scenery etc., it really puts it up there with the best. Made a good change from the French resorts I've been to which are quite often ugly with poor night life. High altitude also means this resort has an excellent snow record.

Summary: I skied in Aspen, Vail, Winter Park before and Livigno is in the same league for my intermediate skill level. The facilities on the slopes (restaurant, lifts, etc.) are very well maintained and the snow conditions are good regardless of the weather due to the elevation (and there are lots of snow guns as well!). I highly recommend this resort to anyone except experts looking for black and double black runs. That includes those who never skied before as there are lots of short beginner runs at the bottom of the valley and intermediates who will appreciate the fact that most of the runs are for the intermediate level.
