Summary:
I maintain the Villa Stresov website, the only 5 star villa in Borovets. It's a great place, but that aside, the website provides the most information to be found about Borovets (from any lodging website), the surrounding area, etc. on the web. There are several photo galleries that give a great feel for things to do (year round). We are about to post a large new winter gallery of images just taken in Jan-Feb 2008 showing Borovets and the ski slopes and area.

Whether anyone is interested in a luxury villa or not, the website (www.villastresov.com) will be helpful in getting a visual understanding of Bulgaria's main ski area.

Summary:
busy liitle place with a lot of people on the lower slope the skiing is busy on one side of the resort quieter on the other..slopes are well kept ad skiing reasonable for intermediates ..not really for advanced. The hotels are good value but the food in them is terrible. The cafes offer much better food and at very chaep prices ...go b&b ...the equipmnt for hire is hit and miss and the instructors also..better tho hire your own and get private lessons..would go again as its very chaep skiing

Summary:
Rubbish. Queues to get up the mountain, and the cable up to the top of the mountain was closed most of the time. The instructors were dangerous (my then girlfriend broke her wrist on a red run on her second day snowboarding with a local instructor when she could scarcely stand up), the only nursery slope lift had a bloke charging you to use it even if you had a lift pass. It is possible to do a cheap holiday in Bulgaria in Pamporovo (where I originally learned) and enjoy it, but Borovets is horrendous

We have a lot of interesting and useful information - resorts, hotels, places to go, snow reports and forecasts, etc, etc. Our site is very dynamic. We are travelling to the resorts every week to get the latest news and nformation form the source. Currently we get hundreds of hits daily and loads of inquiries.
