I lived at Jasna for a full season, and Skied pretty much the entire Mountain, North & South Side. The Terrain is excellent, the tree Skiing is extensive, as are the powder bowls. If you can get to the top of Chopok then your choices for Extreme Skiing is enormous, with Chute after Chute Stretching as far as the eye can see (almost.) If you want to trek a little you can make it about five kilometres from the top of Chopok (along the ridge line) and still ski back to the Village, with great views along the way.

The country of Slovakia is gradually embracing capitalism, and the lure of tourist dollars. They have the mountains, the High Tatras rival any mountains in the world. With a little money improvements in on slope amenities there is unlimited possibilties. The Slovak people are as friendly as any in the world and love to show off their beautiful country. In the mean time be prepared for anything.
