Summary:
The local operators of Brezovica have just opened for the second season after the 1999 fighting in Kosovo. Last season allowed them to work a few kinks out and restock their equipment, get an electrical generator up on the mountain, and bring some of the old state employees back to start running operations again. The second season has seen these same people discover the concept of price gouging. Lift tickets jumped 250% in price from season to season yet lifts are often not turned on until 11:00. Ski rentals are limited to the resort, as no private rental shops have yet to appear, therefore the enthusiast needing skis is at the mercy of the resort and prices have jumped by 140% over last season.
