Summary: If the global warming stops playing havoc with mother nature and some investors decide not to go just for the short term immediate profit, this place could become huge. Few quads here and there, another gondola, more of an après-ski atmosphere and it has the potential to become a serious hotspot. Till then, stick to Lake Louise.

Summary: I think Poiana is a bit of everything. In many ways it’s a perfect example of what the Romanian society is right now. No clear direction and yet to find itself a clear identity. Hopefully one day things will normalize and Poiana will be another great resort were it would be worth to spent your holidays. Until then, there are tons of other places (Bulgaria, Slovenia, Slovakia etc) that are offering much better services at competitive prices.
