| | Reviewed by: Dave Franken, Double Diamond Price Paid: $3000.00 at home office Summary: CPG is the best outfit of all the Alaskan operators. I have skied with many of the operations in Valdez and they cannot offer the same terrain or the use of an exclusive area. Plus if the weather sucks CPG has cat backup. Similar Products Used: H2O, Valdez Heli Camps, ABA, Canadian Mountain Holidays

| | Reviewed by: Steve MacN, DoubleDiamond, from Reading, Berkshire, U.K. Summary: I had the best skiing of the season with CPG this March (out of over 100 days in Fernie, Lake Louise, Sunshine and Alyeska). I will definately go back but AK is a long way from the UK!

| | Reviewed by: zane moses, DoubleDiamond, from anchorage, ak, usa Summary: recieved a gift certificate for one day of their cat-riding and have tried in vain to cash in on it for 2 seasons. First time I went I was told that my reservation was secure but when I got there they gave my spot to one of the heli-clients because they could not fly that day. This hapened to me twice more that season. The next season I again made reservations for a day of cat-riding and I was again bumped. The people there told me I was being bumped because they were going to take out the cat with the heli clients and while there was room on the cat for me when the skies cleared the heli would pick up the heli-clients and I would have to ride back in the cat and my day would be over at that point. What was funny was that the weather that day was supper heavy snow with no signs what so ever of it letting up, and it never did. What was even funnier was that ten minutes before I was schedueled to leave on the cat I noticed a foreign tourist walk up to the Chugach Powder Guides counter and shell out what looked liked four hundred dollars to get on the cat that day. When their counter help came up and gave me that story I was enraged, what bull%$#!*! In result I do not recomend Chugach Powder Guides to anyone who does not either have a huge wad of cash or does not mind some of the worst customer service I have ever expierienced. I work in a local ski/snowboard shop, take my advice, go to Valdez and skip the boys in Girdwood.
