Reviewed by: Ted Neiger, Double Diamond, from Norwalk, CT

Price Paid: $0.00

Summary:
This review is based on a sample of one, as I was heli skiing for the first time (but not the last!).

This trip had all the elements that make heli a great option: fresh snow, great guides, impressive logistics, well maintained helis, even some rare BC Coastal Range sun. Low temperatures (5F/-15C) was the only potential issue, but this wasn't an issue with the right clothing.

However, two anecdotes stood out for this heli company, and they were both about the people:

1- I needed a longer powder board but was hesitant to use their equipment because I'm so particular about my boot/binding combination. 'No problem', said the guide before leaving. In 2 minutes with no hesitation and a power screwdriver they slapped my bindings on their powder board with my stance angles intact.

2- After our first run and at the top of the second my friends rental teli binding's plastic snapped due to the bitter cold. He was totally bummed and had no choice but to hop back in the heli. The rest of us did the second run and then met two other groups for lunch. One of the other group's guide heard about the snapped binding, pulled out his leatherman and a spool of wire and rigged it up. My friend skied the rest of the day with this rig without issues. The guide saved the day for him and us!

Reviewed by: Rich, Advanced, from Maple Glen, PA, USA

Summary:
The basic package is about $550 (Canadian) for 3 runs. We then were able to purchase more runs at $50 a pop. We ended up doing 2 extra runs. I would like a package that included more total runs (say 10). All-in-all I had a very positive experience, and would use these people again.

Reviewed by: Isaac, Advanced, from New York City

Summary:
This was the first time I have been heli-skiing. It was incredible. Virgin snow, varried terrain. I took 4 helicopter trips. The first two or three are included in the package, about $400, then you pay like $50 for each additional. Check prices, don;t remember. The helicopter ride is also very fun!

They run a very smooth operation at Whistler. It all works like clock work.

There were two problems:
1. IT should be all inclusive, didn't like the fact that they try to sell you the video and picture.n (which i bought)
2. While the nature was incredible, I found the comments of the spolied rich kids annoying, "Dude, awesome snow man!, bitchin ride!" etc, like an MTV re-run, kinda took away from the serenity.

Otherwise, it was certainly the best skiing i have ever done. And they take all levels from intermediate up.
