Summary: Cardrona is a good mountain(nz standards) but does not really compare to most european or north american resorts. The snow is really nice compared to Treble Cone and Coronet Peak and is about as good as the remarkables snow. This is mainly because the snow is all natural. The worst thing about cardrona is that there is virtually no steeps so it get's a bit boring after a while. There is a terrain park with about 3 rail and 4 jumps but hte jumps are really crap. So of your abegginer or Intermediate cardrona will be good for you but if your and advance/expert skier go to remarkables,mt hut Tc or coronet peak instead.

Summary: Excellent resort from what I could see of it. It snowed very heavily all day, adding to an already deep and consistent snow cover all over the resort. Although I didn't venture over there, the terrain parks and halfpipes must have been good as there were dozens of boarders riding them all day. This resort is a lot bigger than Coronet & Remarkables. The resort is a fair distance from Queenstown (about 1 hours drive by bus) on roads that are very winding and in some sections unsealed. Wanaka is slighty closer so it may be a better option for accomodation, but Queenstown is bigger and has more variety of places and things to do.
