Cannon is the ill sh*t. Good value, terrain, one of the most stunning mountains in the east. This place is harcore, no bull sh*t.

Absolutely one of my favorite ski areas, Cannon offers dirt cheap prices, challenging terrain, and a no-nonsense attitude that makes me want to go back. And the best thing: even though Cannon has enough terrain to keep you busy for two straight days, you can hike to the long-closed Mittersill area (ski to the end of the Taft Run, then hike up to the top... you'll see the other people) right next door. It's like getting two mountains for the price of one.
