Summary:
This resort is amazing and the ski patrol is there to protect people from others. I have friends who are beginners and every time they go to Gore they feel welcomed and with all the new terrain it doesn't feel as crowded as it used to. The patrollers there are really nice and are willing to cooperate though for the people who ski fast and don't abide my the rules then that is your fault. They are not "power-hungry" either, but are simply doing their job by protecting people like the little kids who are constantly in danger from older kids flying by and going too fast... This is a very family friendly mountain and I would recommend it to anyone. There are also a lot of steeper slopes for more advanced people but there can always be more :). So don't be calling the patrollers a$$holes if you are the one making the mistakes and skiing closed trails... they are closed for a reason and most likely because they are not safe because of fallen trees or they do not have enough snow on the trails. They know better than anyone what to do and they ALWAYS open the trails that are good for skiing. I grew up on the mountain and I have been skiing there since I was 2 years old so I know what I am talking about when I say that they are just doing their job and if you have a problem with it then bring it up with the administration.

Summary:
Great snow! They seem to have the nice snowjets. It is a large resort with tons of trails to find. DO NOT GO ON THE EASY ONES! They are totally flat and if you board and dont feel like walking a bit then dont do it. Other than that the trails are nicely groomed and the terrain park is kind retarded. I think maybe it was just too expensive tho.

Summary:
Gore has some really fun trails, like Showcase, Lies, and others at the top. The tree skiing is great on pow days, you can always seem to find the fresh. Just dont get caught poaching, or bye-bye ticket. The terrain park could use some serious work next year though. Gore would be a great place if it wasnt for the ski patrol. I've never seen such a bunch of power-hungry a$$holes. They will rip your ticket for doing anything, poaching, "going too fast", inverts, you name it.
