| | Reviewed by: nikitos, Advanced Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: This is an advanced mtn. With narrow trails and ice - you have to be an advanced skier/rider. Very crowded on weekends. Hunter West is pretty steep. Hunter is good for one-day-trip.

| | Reviewed by: PowderNut, Intermediate, from Long Island N.Y. Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: This a good moutain but it has too many flaws for anyone who wants to get in some quality runs! Hunter's terrain is great and I have had some great days there. Mostly after a big powder dump on the weekdays. If you go on the weekends get ready to stand in line for a very L O N G time! The toal lack of organism on the moutain is present here you get line cutters and complte lift idiots that can't even get on the chair right. Not to metion the lift operators don't have a clue on how to organize it. I even saw a woman fall of the chair when a lift operator tried to jump on the chair to get a toolbox up to the top and pushed the woman off! The lack of Ski Patrol is also a problem I came through the park and decided to hit a nice huck off one of the few tabletops that looked good only to find a family of skiers standing in the landing zone! Then after I bailed to avoid hiting them they had the nerve to start joking about my fall!! The vibe at the moutain is just bad! If you don't ride or ski park stay out of the park is that so hard? When I went to one of the few ski patrols to complain about the problems in the park they said ther is nothing we can do. Basicly if your a novice who has never rode a day in your life you'll fit right in if your here to ride and push you and your friends abilites go someplace else on the weekends. Weekdays it's sweet but the total lack of organiztion and lack of ski patrol and knowlegeable and helpful staff makes this a weekday only moutain. Also just be careful or your board here I have seen people get their board stolen and I have had boards top sheets damaged in both the long lift lines and on the rack due to people who rent and could care less about their stuff and other people's stuff. To bottom line it if I have seen stupid or bad things happen at a moutain it's been at Hunter for the price of the lift ticket it's time for a gondola to speed up lines and better people to work there or just more on em. PEACE!
