Summary: My buddies and I have been making the trek north to Whiteface for three years. Its our week long getaway from the bordom of skiing/snowboarding in the catskills, and each year we have a blast. Everytime we've gone it has snowed a good 6-12 inches on the mountain, so the riding has been incredible. When we're not on the slopes we're having fun in the town of Lake Placid. An all around great place, the mountian is fun and challenging. I cant ask for more...
Summary: WHiteface is a real mountain one of only a handful in the east. It is there to be skied by good skiers, and riders. The best part of whiteface is the local cuts, but hey we're not telling! Whiteface also boasts one of the best ski schools on the east coast! So come up and see us!
Summary: Great place, has got a huge variety of runs (however most are "more" chalinging), including some seriously exilirating runs like the slides. It's a little expensive but definatley worth the extra $10. They didn't have the winter Olympics there twice for nothing! not to mention it's the ONLY place in the east to have hoasted them! It's 3,430ft of Olympic grade skiing.
Summary: I landed in whiteface on a day with 30 cm fresh is was awsome bumps are great but nothing compared to sunshine
