| | Reviewed by: Scott Dillman, Advanced, from Cicero, NY, USA Summary: Song Mountain is coming back strong under new management. The new owners have taken a hands-on approach and have brought back some key old employees. The snow conditions and trail count have improved significantly. The kids ski school continues to be run by a quality group that has survived the various management changes. The Song Bird program is a great learning opportunity for kids up to age 12.

| | Reviewed by: Hugh, Advanced, from Syracuse, NY, USA Summary: This mountain could be some much better... maybe with the new ownership it will improve a lot. The terrain is boring and easy (I'm suprised some of the diamonds are rated as diamonds), the lodge is way too small and cheezy, it's hard to get from lift to lift, the grooming is terrible, and the steeper side of the mountain is only served by one t-bar. The only big advantage is that it's easy to get to and it's not too badly priced for the area. Otherwise, this resort stinks. Labrador and Toggenburg are much better resorts and totally worth 10 minute the exrta driving time.

| | Reviewed by: Scott Dillman, Advanced, from Cicero, NY, USA Summary: Great place to ski with the family. Great place to groom the kids for someplace bigger. Like home to my kids. They know many staff by name and are known by name too. The ski area feels much bigger than it really is. There are many views off varied trails. Not like many other central New York areas that all look the same direction. The view never changes at the other places. I would recommended Song Mountain to anyone who will listen. We have skied there as a family for over 6 years.

| | Reviewed by: Kyle , Advanced, from Elizabethtown, PA, US Summary: This is a good place to get settled until you get to the bigger resorts. The mountain is fairly large, especially for a smaller resort. I like the ski rentals that they have here. There are a couple of weaknesses such as poor night skiing. But, they do have an OK snow making. You can't beat the price hear.
