| | Reviewed by: Joe, Intermediate, from Baltimore Summary: This one of several places in VT I've gone to the past four years. Good value for the money. Don't bother spending twice the money for the over rated sister mountain Mount Snow. Avoid Presidents week in VT if you can.

| | Reviewed by: Scott Dillman, Advanced, from Cicero, NY, USA Summary: A fun little ski area. I would consider going back. Too bad it is an American Ski Company resort. I would like to see NASTAR racing offered. The lift operators were friendly. It was like a ghost town the day I was there. It seemed to be the locals place or at least not the New Yonk croud that was at Mt. Snow. I would encourage everyone to go to Mt. Snow so I can have this fun little area to myself.

| | Reviewed by: bill, Intermediate, from branford, ct Summary: I'm sorry to be so negative, but I was told by two people on the phone that our Mobil Ski passes would be good during President's week (they weren't). I was told, via phone by another individual, my kids were all set for a lesson at 9:30 Monday "just meet outside the lodge" (they weren't). I like surprises in terrain, not in basic amenities/services/costs... Two other people said they had similar misinformation problems, and said the management attitude seems to be, "you're already here, so what are you gonna do?" Well here's what I'M gonna do... Stay away from the American Ski Co. and spend $$ with places like Bromiley, Stratton and elsewhere.

| | Reviewed by: Matt Eisler, DoubleDiamond, from Jersey Summary: Though the runs are shorter and the lifts slower, I've seen my best days at this mnt. Its worth a day on your way up or back from stratton to stop.

| | Reviewed by: Uday, Intermediate, from Montville, NJ, Morris Summary: Haystack is the sleeper mountain of the area. The crowds are minimal, that word shouldn't even be used to describe the amount of people there on weekends (everyone hits Mt. Snow). The only problem is an extremely annoying old school lift to the top. Put in a high speed, and their golden.
