Summary: Definatley overated, but still a good mtn. They advertise 2300 vert but not many runs have more than 1500 vert unless you traverse back to lower lifts, so most runs seem very short espicially compared to runs at any decent vermont resort. There man made snow is high quantity/low quality, very grabby. They're not blessed with alot of natural snow. Super commercialized base lodges with ballpark food prices(yeah the food at resorts is always pricey but $4 for a 20 oz gatorade, thats outrageous). Dreck condos all over the place(good for the ski and stay aspect but they should have maybe hired an architect, it looks like suburban sprawl took over part of the mountain). I'de only go here when they offer super cheap ski and stay packages or I can find highly discounted tickets.

Summary: I skied it on what locals declared was the best weekend of the winter, after about 30 inches of powder the previous two days. For half a day it was decent powder skiing, but by 2pm it was down to blue ice and skied out crud. I also thought it was not very challenging. Good services and lovely setting, and a fair number of eateries and saloons. But for better skiing, go West young man.

Summary: This place is the greatest for all skiier types. No matter if you're just learning or you've been skiing or snowboarding your whole life, you will find at least 10 trails you like. With 7 peaks how can you go wrong? If you're into jumping and the terrain parks, there are plenty to try out including a giant, olympic sized half pipe. There are great lessons given here and the sales personell are great people. If your more into the moguls and tree skiing like me, then there are plenty of trails to choose from. Great slope side resorts also!
