| | Reviewed by: grundelman, Advanced, from MD Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: First of all you can not even put Wisp and the Rockies on the same map, so don't even try....You have to take Wisp for what it is. It's Maryland's only resort, and in my opinion a damn good one...For snowboarding, wisp has as good a park as I have seen out west...They have a new superpipe which rivals many out west...no it's not mavericks at Steamboat, but I'll like to see any one complain after they have ridden it...The park is not bad, they usually have 2 fairly large table tops and several smaller kickers. Within the last couple of years they have also added a few rails. This is an intermediate hill, it does however have a couple of of descent runs such as squirel cage and the face. They are straight up and down wide open runs that usually build up some descent size moguls worthy on some nice air....

| | Reviewed by: Robert Tarkett, Double Diamond, from Ocean City, MD, USa Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: I grew up in the French Alps, and was reluctant when my wife planned a ski vacation to Maryland. I was pleasantly surprised to find that WISP was a very nice small resort with short but well-laid out trails. The snow conditions were actually very good, and the grooming made the most of the conditions. The runs are not as challenging as the Alps, but are not bad compared to other areas in the eastern United States. The staff was friendly, and it was not crowded, even on the weekend.
