Summary:
Mountain Creek is so crowded that it's unsafe. People get hurt all the time. Also, the lift lines and rental lines are so long (sometimes 45 min for lift and 2 hrs for rental) that it's not worth going. But that said, if you go on a weekday before 4:00, the place is nice for a snowboarder. Lots of rails, hits, and a good halfpipe. Boring terrain for a good skier, though.

Price Paid: $0.00

Summary:
This is not a Mountain. This hill if you can even call it that is a pathetic excuse for a resort. Although it is the closest and most convenient place, it offers very little to anyone. Home of Donna Weinbrecht and Danny Kass, Vernon appears to be a hotspot for talent, and being the only resort in the area Mountain Creek gets all the credit. However, these Olympic athletes did NO training on this excuse.
The good: variety in the terrain park. A ton of jumps in average condition and the most rails anyone has ever seen. But the big kickers are in the wrong places, no speed can be carried into them, and theres always people standing around between the hit and the landing.
Now the bad: there is no challenging terrain, and evereyone is an expert. The only double black on the hill (if you can even call it a double) is open 3 weeks of the season, and the same morons that sit on the jumps seem to always be scraping any snow granules off. The race program can't set a corse if their lives depended on it, much alone coach it. Beginer trails are crowded, lift lines are crowded. but all lifts are hight speed quads. The "gondola" is an 8 person, open air, stand up lift with no seats and for some reason always smells like urine.

This resort then has the guts to charge the same amount for a lift ticket as some exclusive mountains in upstate new york.

Don't expect too much, and don't buy into any of the hype... its all advertising.

Summary:
Not bad - I got a discounted ticket, so it wasn't too expensive. I like the set up of the mountain, but it did get very crowded and lift lines were very long. The conditions were OK, but it got very icy at points. I think if it were closer to me, I'd be more enthusiastic about it, but because I have to drive over an hour and a half to get there, I'll probably end up going to other mountains instead, especially on the weekends.

Summary:
Freestyle Snowboarding and Beginners only.
This Mountain (Hill) has nothing to offer Freeriders and experienced Skiiers. It's just to small and crowded with no steep or mogul runs.

-Very Very Icy Conditions
-Very Crowded on Weekend Days
-Park can be very good but is usually solid ice 85% of the time.

Best time to go weekdays or nights
Warm nights can be good in the park as long as it's not foggy

Rain can sometimes make the conditions better because it softens up the rock hard snow/ice!

Beware of a$$holes laying on the transitions!!!

PACK A LUNCH!!!
THIS PLACE WILL RIPP YOU OFF LIKE NO OTHER!!!!
FOOD SUUUUUXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!

Summary:
Great place for a little get away from the city. Less than 2 hours away. Went on a day with 6 inches of snow coming down, and conditions were perfect. Better place than I expected.
