the only real place to go in this area...not a bad place especially considering you're in DC and snow isn't always here. it's about a 90 min drive from MD/DC burbs

One of the closest places to DC (other than Ski Liberty). Nothing to special here, if you are a ski enthusiast move out of DC and go somewhere with snow. I think Liberty is a bit better because of the snowboard park.

Just back from Whitetail- got in a nice day's worth of skiing, and now I'm sipping a beer on my couch. That's Whitetail's strength. Really. It's interesting enough to make it worth the very short 90 minute drive from the DC area. I'm not sure that it's any better than Liberty. But hey, you're in DC- just be thankful you have this option at all. Similar Products Used:

A wonderful resort very close to DC. Thank you Whitetail for creating a true commuter mountain for the nation’s capital. I give this mountain a 4 because it does a great job for what it is.
