Any skiing in the UP of Michigan can be a blast if you find the right day. After a good lake effect snow storm it`s not uncommon to get 2 feet in some areas, but that day winds will be strong out of the north so backcountry is your best bet. Marquette Mountain is a north faceing resort so good snow can come with cold days. Snow can last untill May so Spring skiing can be a good. Warm winds out of the south make for calm winds on top with lots of snow, sun a good & temps.
