Summary:
ummm... i live near pine nob, i have skied the countless times. great place to ski for someone just learning how to ski or snowboard, to an advaced skier or snowboarder. I ski and snowboard, but we dont get as much snow as the mountians in the upper michigan does, so the season starts late, and ends early, but any time between january through mid march would be the best time to go.

Summary:
Over all this is a pretty good place to snowboard for the day, but not for a vacation. If you want a vacation try Crystal Mtn. which is right near Traverse City(It's awesome).

Summary:
I have been to a number of places skiing. I've been to Mt. Holiday near Travercity and Park City, Utah. Pine Nob is bigger than Mt. Holiday and has more runs. The terrain is steeper and harder. Pine Nob gets less snow so it has more ice and harder to turn. Beginners through experts can have fun on Pine Nob. There is a great Beginner hill for beginners. Pine Nob has a nice terrain park with a huge table top.

Summary:
This place is cool for beginners and people who live in the area, but I wouldn't recommend it as a vacation spot.
