| | Reviewed by: Ronnie, Advanced, from Iron Mountain,MI Summary: Pine Mountain reopened under new management last year and is dedicated to once again being the premier skiing spot in the Upper Peninsula. Right next door is the famous Pine Mountain Ski Jump. It is the site of the pre-olympics in the US. Hosting the last world wide competition before the 2002 Olympics. Compared to the rest of the UP the terrain is about equal but the ammenities place it a notch above the rest. Pine is very friendly to beginners with ski-free-learn-to-ski packages on Wednesday for the 2001-2002 season. Pine is also noted for its excellent ski-wee program. New lift ticket prices this year, $20.00, any day, all day, every day. Ski, snowboard and snowblade rentals on site. I ski everywhere in the UP and Pine is becoming one of the best resorts north of Green Bay,WI. Give it a try!
