| | Reviewed by: Scott Taber, Advanced Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Some of the reviews compare Crystal Mountain to Nubs Knob- there is no comparison other than they are ski areas. Nubs is way more challenging than Crystal- hands down. Its well worth the drive to northern michigan. Highlands is great too.

| | Reviewed by: Dan Jackson, Advanced, from Frankfort Mi. Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Over all Crystal is a good resort. One of,if not THE best Michigan has to offer. I've lived 35 min. away for 24 years and skied/snowboared there well over 100 times. The runs are short but HEY it's Michigan! so if your in the northern Mi. and you've decided to hit the slopes Crystal Mtn. is the only place to go.

| | Reviewed by: Nyuck Kornoely, Advanced, from Grand Rapids, MI, US Summary: My ratings reflect my feelings about this resort as compared to other Michigan resorts. I use it as a nice warm up to go out west and Crystal gives me the chance to practice new things. Nice friendly people too.
I wouldn't go anywhere else to ski Michigan, Nubs Knob takes a nice second to Crystal. If you go to Crystal, pack your own lunch and you'll have a great time.

| | Reviewed by: Chris, Intermediate, from Michigan Summary: I spent 3 days there and I didn't want to leave! The employees are first class, there are many different places to eat in the lodge that rank from cafeteria style to an almost suit and tie atmosphere, and the runs are great! My fiance and I stayed in a chalet while we were there, and it was just short of perfect. This is a great value if you go with one of their ski packages - I got one that included the chalet (complete with jacuzzi) for two nights and three days of snowboarding. The complete cost was only $194! I can't say enough good things about this resort. The runs are pristine and the clipper chair lift rocks. If you're going to ski or board in MI and you don't mind the drive through nowheresville, definately go here. There's nowhere like it in the state.
