| | Reviewed by: barts, Double Diamond Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: I chose the coldest night of the year (3F) for my first trip to Hidden Valley. I arrived after midnight, to find the place PACKED with kids flying out of control for the most part down the slopes. That really didn't bother me. The hill itself is good for a quick 10-15sec run down at full speed. The snow was actually as good as most of the stuff I've skied on in the east. Must have been the string of cold weather and their snow making machines. unfortunately i only made 4 runs before i got stuck on the lift. i sat on the damn thing for over an hour (i kid you not). i was a human popiscle by the time my ordeal ended. they had to rope people down from the lifts. i have never seen anything like this in my entire life. the management gave us a cup of hot chocolate and 'we're sorry for the inconvenience.' WELCOME TO SKIING IN MISSOURI i guess!

| | Reviewed by: alphacrew2000, Advanced, from St. Louis Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: If your a local like myself.....
This place is awesome. I reccommend the midnight session on the weekend if you have a large group with you. The beginners are at home and it is just beautiful out there. Bring you own food somehow though. Great place too catch up with friends and have fun
If you are not a local.....
This place is going to seem like a rip off. It is small, croweded, and full of beginners. If you come from a northern state, it isn't even worth your time, but those who just want to have fun should stop by. Bring your own food somehow, for their food is decent, but high priced for what you get. Still go during the night. THe mountain seems bigger and minus the wind, it feels calmer outside.

| | Reviewed by: Tony Patti, Intermediate, from St. Louis, MO, USA Summary: A good time can be had if you go with many friends and have fun with the sunshine. Other than that you should just stay at home if you are not a local because you will just see very poor snow and inexperienced skiers strewn about the slopes. Oh and come at night when all of the beginners are sitting at home taking a bath its usually open until about nine p.m.
