| | Reviewed by: kristian, Advanced Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: I skied Monarch yesterday for the first time in 5 years and had a fantastic time! There was 6" of new snow with lots of untouched, knee-deep snow in the trees. The only lift line we waited in was for the chair the beginners use and that was only a 10 minute wait (on New Years Day).
Monarch is a small resort compared to sprawlers like Vail but it still offers a good variety of terrain. There are steep open runs, tight bump runs and great tree skiing (in addition to the usual groomers and beginner trails).

| | Reviewed by: Chong, Advanced, from Colorado Springs, Colorado Summary: Nice and small ski place, no lift line on weekday and snow condition has been the BEST for my last 2 years of skiing. All my deep powder skiing has been in Monarch and very fun. The runs are pretty short, and hope that they have a real high-speed quad lift so that I don't have to spend most of my time on the lift. But I really don't mind because the snow condition is just awesome!!!

| | Reviewed by: Wil, DoubleDiamond, from Pueblo Summary: This is a great place, but don't tell anyone. Not too many places left in Colorado where you can go boarding on a Saturday, and not have to wait for more than 5 minutes, with a lot of the times getting right onto the lift. And did I mention that this is place is probably the cheapest place in Colorado? 199 bucks for a seasons pass.
