| | Reviewed by: jaymunro, Double Diamond, from West Chester, PA USA Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Copper rates up there with Vail for my new favorite mountain in CO. I found the resort to be very big and varied. The chairs all seemed to service steep terrain. As we worked our way around the mountain, I felt like I could spend the rest of the day exploring terrain off of each chair. If you like steep terrain, Copper is worth the visit.

| | Reviewed by: H Yang, Intermediate, from Berwyn, PA Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Having just gone to Whistler BC, I was expecting the same sort of thing from Copper Mountain. The skiing was pretty good, but I feel that the mountain is overrated. My group also had problems with Copper Vacations, the place where we booked our lodging. When we checked in, they said that our original unit had a pipe burst. Part of my group did check out the unit and found that it was occupied and not flooded as Copper Vacations claimed. To add insult to injury, we were put in a significantly lesser unit that came complete with a broken window and a broken toilet. We tried to get money back, but they only gave us credit for a future stay. Never mind. We are never coming back.

| | Reviewed by: Altitude, Advanced Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: I like Copper. It is a place I actually feel comfortable doing the Bowls. There is terrain for everyone at every altitude. Beginners can go to the very summit and find green trails to the bottom. Views and Bowls are spectacular. Service and info is great. Easy access and very large Mountain. Terrain provides lots of greens, blues and blacks all within proximity of each other. Best ski area in the Silverthorne, Dillon, Vail area.

| | Reviewed by: Randy , Double Diamond Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: My family and I spent 5 days at Copper, the first week in April this year. What a mountain! Although we were definitely hitting Spring conditions (high base temps of 50-55), only the bottom 15-20% of the mountain became slushy by the afternoon. The variety of terrain and especially the accessability were second to none. A beginner can go to the top of Rendevous lift and experience the feeling of standing on a mountain, above tree line. Also, I could ski Copper Bowl for a few runs, then take the Mountain Chief lift and ski down Union Bowl while others in our group skiied the green runs there. It was incredibly easy to traverse the mountain, and there are almost no flat traverses (my son is a snowboarder). All the hype of Copper being the ideal ski mountain is completely accurate. You'll never get "stuck" on a trail with only a monster mogul run being the only way down, or having to repeatedly traverse some flat, boring catwalk in order to hit your favorite run(s).

| | Reviewed by: zack95, Advanced, from Lake Geneva, WI Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: After several trips to different Colorado resorts this year, I just felt it was worth throwing in my opinion and say that the next 2 trips before spring are already booked, and they're both at Copper! I've been skiing for almost 25 years in the Midwest (yeah, I know!) but have been heading for the Rockies consistantly for the last 3 years, and Copper has emerged as my hands-down choice...The resort is great - friendly staff, great places to go and things to do without becoming overwhelming (Highly recommend booking a private condo through Copper Mt. Lodging - superior digs to the normal resort rooms and priced similarly, especially late season)...Those who gripe about food prices perhaps havent eaten at Vail lately! Great mountain, great bowls, and other than weekends I've never got the feeling of the resort being "overcrowded". Get a Copper Card or a 4-pass and it's one of the best deals in the area (although A-basin is just plain GREAT, too, without the whole "amenities" thing!)...ALSO: Great Party every year on "Fat Tuesday" - see ya on the 12th!
