| | Reviewed by: Little Booker, Advanced, from NYC Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: Despite all the attention showered on Aspen Mountain, Snowmass is the clear leader amounst the local four. Big mountain with excellent variety in terrain. Elk Camp, Big Burn, High Alpine, and Camp Ground eahc offer a distinct experience and lots of fun. The crowds and lines are much better than at the Summit/Eagle resorts.

| | Reviewed by: Martin Green, Advanced, from Aurora, CO, USA Summary: Overall the whole area surrounding Aspen is great. If you can try to get a four day pass at Christy Sports. It is $100.00 and well worth it. You can go to all of the Aspen ski companies resorts. Go to Ajax to board now, Go to Snowmass for rock island if you are good enough because it is a DD, Go to Buttermilk for the terrain park, and Be sure and hit Aspen Highlands for the free snowcat ride to the top and then hike the Highland Bowl for pure pleasure and to look over the other side at the true mother herself and the potential avalanche death waiting for the true hardcore backcountry rider or skier. Aspen is a place you could never forget as long as you live if you are so lucky to go and meet the people my wife and I met. Stay in Carbondale if you are on a budget. You won't be disappointed.

| | Reviewed by: Marshall Thompson, DoubleDiamond, from Denver, CO Summary: Snowmass is big enough to ski several days in a row and the terrain has great variety. You can push it as hard as you want in the off-piste chutes and bowls and then cruise that late afternoon buzz down the wide open rolling groomers on Elk Camp.
