Price Paid: $0.00

Summary:
I only skied it when snow was less than ideal, but the terrain is enticing (especially for experts), it's easy to get to, it's inexpensive, it's great. I'd love to hit it with full cover and fresh powder. Pleasant, down-home atmosphere. Strictly a day area.

Reviewed by: Jesse Goldsmith, Double Diamond, from Missoula,Mt,USA

Price Paid: $0.00

Summary:
I have skied snowbowl all my life, it has molded me into a lean, mean skiing machine. I travel all around the NorthWest competing, and have never skiied an area that has more accesible terrian serviced by 2 lifts. Anywhere I go, I know that I will be capable of skiing it, because I can ski all of Snowbowl. Oh yeah, it's also only 20 minutes from Missoula. A local saying goes "If you can ski Snowbowl, you can ski anywhere" and it couldn't be more true. Both the Alpine and Freestyle ski teams are the best in the state, and that says it all.

Summary:
Snowbowl is the dank-nug. "Steep and toe deep" is a saying used by the locals. The terrain is a mix of everything one could find somewhere else. If they only let kids in the bar to eat the worlds best pizza, that would be heaven.

Reviewed by: J.T., DoubleDiamond, from McCall, ID

Summary:
This is a ski area for expert skiers. Its not pretty but if you know the terrain its rugged, steep, and fun - when it has snow. The best runs are all ungroomed - some with some huge double falline bumps. At low snow, runs are studded with granite - leave the new skis home early season. With 1+' of fresh the bowls are not to be missed - they can turn you into jelly. The locals rip hard and are friendly. Awesome backcountry - be prepared and know your avie stuff. Not a real good place for beginners or cruisers - a definate throwback mountain w/extremely varied snow conditions. If you like a little "teeth" in your skiing try it.
