Reviewed by: Bill Gentile, Advanced, from Los Alamos, NM

Summary:
Being from the northeast, it felt weird constantly being the only one skiing on a run (from top to bottom). Plenty of room to slash and burn. Imagine, run after run skiing straight to the chair - in February - on Saturday. Purely bizarre. Fab 4 bump runs are screamfests and will make you break into a sweat. I would complain about the slow lifts, but my legs need to recover after the bumps. Townsight area has nice cruisers. Breakfast burritos at the cafe are a must. Season passes for $200, are you serious! What an awesome ski patrol they have too (ahhh, that's me, HA!).

Summary:
Fantastic local ski area. Only drawbacks are that if you have a season pass you hesitate to ski elsewhere, and since there's no snowmaking, bad years are *really* bad. But good years are incredible.

Summary:
I shouldn't share the secret but this is a primo ski area. If you live there it is only 15 minutes to ski. It has hardly any crowds because most people go to Santa Fe or Taos. There is a mix or terrain with the "Fab Four" killer bump runs. People come here to ski and not to sit around in the lodge.
