Summary:
Snowbird can be an awsome resort for locals only, or people who are triple diamond skiers.

A great thing is that snowbird is very steep, so you have to be a very good rider, and it keeps out all the Beg-Int's, that would just makes the powder slide downhill in big chunks.

You have to know were to go and get there at a specific time, otherwise you're screwed and you won't get any powder. It takes about ten days worth of riding here, before you can figure any of the runs out, and when you can actually get powder.

For locals, we know where to go and when, so we get as much powder as we want.

My statement is that if you don't live close buy to get a season pass, then don't come, it will be an absolute waste of time, and money, plus it is expensive, except if you are a student and get a season pass like me.

Overall I would say tourists say out!

Summary:
Pricey place. Brutal architecture like a French 'station de ski' but without the terain to match. OK it has a cable car which may be a big deal in Utah, but it is not suitable for mixed ability groups and it has a rather impersonal atmosphere to it. No match for Tignes, Val Thorens. If it is supposed to be for hot shots then I'll take L'Espace Killy every time.
I much preferred Alta to this.

Summary:
four days at the Bird I got one day of crud and ice, one day of sweet sun, and two days of un-be-lie-vable, light, fluffy,'omigod-wait-till-they-see-the-pics-back-east' snow. There were definitely some of the fur wearin' Aspen wanna-be Eurotrash around the tram and it didnt have the peace that places like Solitude has but the incredible and challenging terrain makes up for it. One of the best places for intermediate and above riding. The first day i got the tram ticket and rode it once, the rest of the time I bought the chair ticket and stayed at the top all day.

Summary:
I am not giving this resort a good review because of the nice steep ride or the powdery conditions but because of it being overrated! Food is too pricey!(bowl of chicken noodle soup for $6) Over-crowded! long lines due to slow-low capacity chair lifts.( really needs to upgrade those double chairs) The tram takes you all the way up but you cram like sardines and not to mention you pay extra$$ just to get on. There are steep hill alright but you will have to encounter lots of flats as well. *not good for a boarders*

Summary:
An all-around great resort. Utah powder, great terrain. In fact, the 'Bird has the steepest bowls I've ever skied, and they are unbelievable on a powder day. I skied the new Mineral Basin area when you could only do it from a snowcat and thought it was great, though I hear it gets crowded now that it's lift-served. The base area is newer and slicker than Alta. For some reason it seems more crowded too, and with the tram the untracked gets skied out much faster. But this is comparing two jewels!
