Summary:
This is a great resort. I have skied here all my life and is by far one of my favorites. I guess it is just because im used to it and now exactly where to go for the best snow and powder.

Summary:
I have skiied and snowboarded at Troll since I was in Kindergarden. Every year I can't wait for it to snow so I can get up to the hill. It doesn't have many runs, but I am stoked to do the same ones over and over again, especially off the Silver T Bar, I can stay up there all day. Thumper, Happy, Silver T, Viking and the bush trails all rule. Hopefully you go there when their is tons of powder. The people there are cool, and the food is great, definately have a cinnamon bun:)

Reviewed by: Adam Schaan, Double Diamond, from Quesnel, BC, Canada

Price Paid: $0.00

Summary:
Troll has been my home for over 10 years. Since i was a kid, i have skied there. So having that moral connection to the mountian may swade my opinion but i'll give it all the same. Troll Ski Resort is not a resort, it's a ski area. There's no 5 star hotels or elegant alp replica condos, it's just one lodge, 4 t-bars (including the longest in N. America) and a true skiing experience with none of the big city apeal.

We start in Quesnel, drive up the scenic, PAVED, Barkerville Highway for 1 hour to the hill. Once there you will immedialty realize the beauty of the hill's trueness. There will be mabey a handfull of cars there if you go during the weekend, during a weekday there might be 2 or 3 or mabey just one, yours. Thats one of the beautys of the hill, you have it to yourslef, i mean liftlines is a lingo you'll never hear at Troll. Enter the large wooden doors of the Lodge (which feels like something out of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings) to the dim litted interior. Grab a cinne roll, warm your toes by the fire place, and take off to the lift. Oh, and when you leave your skies outside, dont bother to lock them up on a rack cause you will not find one, you skies are safe no matter where you leave them! Think of that, not having to worry about your $1000 skies! Anyways to the mountian.

You ski your way up to the mighty RED-T, the longest t-bar in N. America. Now some people might be turned when they hear this, but hey, for $20 i think you can manage. At Troll, we're proud of our status. Anyways you can drift through to the lift and up you go, no lift lines what a nice change. So 10-15 minutes latter, your're at the top. No what, well you can go right to the FACE, a nice glidding blue run with an abundance of space, mabey try your tricks out on Thumper, or jurney down the easy Snow White to the bottom or to the silver-T. I think the silver-T sounds nice. Ski your way down the relaxing Snow White to the Silver T which is a little higher then mid-mountian. This t-bar is new and offers more of bush runs Troll offers, also for snowboarders look out for some nice kickers built by the locals. Oh yes, at Troll, build your own jumps, no ski patrol to bug yah. So ski your way back down to the bottom and you have just gotten a taste of Troll. Hope to see you there!

Summary:
Troll is suck a cute mountain and the staff there is great. I've skied there alot because my brother coached the ski team there. It is a small mountain but if you know where to go it's great. If you do get by go into the lodge to say hi to Lars and make sure that you get one of Linda's cinnamon buns before you leave.
