| | Reviewed by: kyung kim, Advanced, from chicago, il Summary: : I was fortunate enough to get a job as a ski instructor at Cypress last season. Coming from Chicago, I had never seen such good skiing so close to a major city. I was impressed with the challenging terrian and the awesome dumps of snow. On heavy snow days Top Gun, Moons and Slash are the places to be, but get there quick because these runs will get tracked out in a hurry.
If you just want to take it easy and cruise around, Fork and Collins are for you. And for all you daredevils take note, if you plan on ducking a rope and skiing "ob" you better know what you're doing. Outside those ropes lies super steeps, exposed rocks and cliffs. So if you think you have what it takes to tame some of the wildest terrian on the North Shore, take a buddy and the proper gear. Cypress Bowl is for the modest hardcore skier who can't afford a seasons pass at Whistler. So if you care about how you look more than how you ski than Cypress is not for you.

| | Reviewed by: Derek Young, Advanced, from Vancouver, BC, Canada Summary: Cypress may be the best in terms of terrain size compared to other Vancouver local resorts such as Seymour & Grouse. It's also very accessible. Problem is there are so much people going up there that your wait in the liftlines pretty much ruins your day. Lift tickets and passes have also gone up due to management realizing they can make a lot more profit since the attendance on ski resorts have gone up.
