Price Paid: $0.00

Summary:
Soda Springs *IS* a small resort but very economical - esp. if you have a family. A family pass runs you less than $400 FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! They are opening a park for very small children (under 42') and have 2 tubing tows (loads of fun!) that will keep you coming back for more. For the grown ups they have lifts and terrain parks - something for everyone.

Granted it isn't Tahoe, but it's close, it's cheap, and it's adequate! If you are on a budget - it's the place to go.

if you're looking for crowds, crapy snow, this is the place to go. but thats only for the beginners area. the black & blue runs were somewhat better. this place is small...hell, sugar bowl is right by here. overall, this place sucks.

Summary:
You don't usually see more people at the bunny slope than the rest of the mountain, but it is so at Soda Spring. This place is for beginners or advanced people -- beginners come here for the obvious reason (cheap); ok, advance people don't come here, but take note of the fact that this place has more black runs than blue & green combined. If you go to the top, the only ways down are black diamonds. So Soda Spring is not so good for intermediates who don't yet ride blacks.

Besides the really green beginner (like never ski/board before), I don't see how anyone else would feel sufficiently challenged here. Besides the bunny slope, no other green runs for beginners to practice. Only three blue runs and they are very short. The black runs have the most variaty, and the snowboard park is ok. The price is cheap and you'll outgrow it by noon.
