| | Reviewed by: SpudBoy3, Advanced Price Paid: $0.00 Summary: It's funny when you ask anybody in the Bay Area if they have ever skied/ridden Diamond Peak, 9 times out of 10, the answer will be no. That is a shame. This is a great little place to escape the crowds of Tahoe. It is predominantly a locals resort with some of the best views in all of Tahoe. Take a ride up Crystal Express and veer right off the lift and take the Crystal Ridge run down. On a clear day, I have a difficult time keeping my eyes on the run. The scenery is just awesome.
The resort is very family friendly and offers good lesson programs for the kids. More adventuresome types can explore the confines of Solitude Canyon. If you are planning a trip to Tahoe, please be advised that this is not a "true" destination resort. However, it is a fun place to ski/ride a couple of days, especially if you are staying in Incline Village.

| | Reviewed by: Todd Burns, Beginner, from 14814 Perthshire #269 Summary: As a first time boarder the service, small crowds, and excellent prices were what attracted me to this resort (The wonderful view of Lake Tahoe didn't hurt either.) The 2 hour snowboarding lesson was excellent and the class size was small enough that it seemed as good as a private lesson. On the downside the food in the 'restaurant' was poor and the realive small size of the overall resort may have the more experienced rider searching for other terrain. Important note: The resort is NOT in New Mexico, rather it is on the Nevada side of northern Lake Tahoe.
