Summary: Bear Mtn is an overrated resort. My girlfriend and I have a dual mountain season pass to big bear and snow summit. We spent 90% of our time at snow summit skiing and snowboarding. The layout is much better, more runs to ski, definately the best of the Southern California resorts. Bear has Geronimo which is a pretty good run, the only run not in the terrain park, fun, but serviced by a SLOW lift. So take my advice Snow Summit, East mountain and All mountain express takes you up and down non-stop. If you want something more thrilling, go to Tahoe, Mammoth or Colorado :o) I am.

Summary: Big Bear mountian is the best southern cali resort. For jumps only.. The elev. is 7.875 ft which only get about 45 in per year. Not to good. But has huge snowmaking equipment so never worry. Like they said..Don't go on weekends..For Real fun come to Vail...

Summary: My favorite souther california resort. im really looking forward to seing what happans with the merger. supposedly bear is going to focuse on terrain parks more and summit on the skiers.
