Summary: I went last year with some friends and the exsperiance was both painfull and exelerating. Being a first timer at snowboarding i learned the hard way mosly on my face sliding down the hill. I would recomend this place to anyone wanting to get started in skiing or snowbaording. the lift tiket prices are a little high for my taste being for a three day pass around 80 something dollars if it where 40 i am sure there would be alot more people willing to ski there.

Summary: Don't join SUSA! If you go to Shasta don't be in a bad mood cause you might end up slapping one of those weirdo chics and bring your own food. Or just don't go.

Summary: What else can I say? It's convenient for those of us too far north of Tahoe, but the prices (generally $31/day) are a little steep, considering the size of the area. Night skiing/snowboarding on Wednesday and Thursday nights is a GREAT deal, however; you and a friend can ski/snowboard for only $9 (!!!) on those nights. More grooming on icey days would be much appreciated.
